The 25th anniversary of the Legend of Zelda series is a big deal, and so was the latest game – Skyward Sword. Tracking down every console in the history of Nintendo meant calling in a few favours, but the effect of showing the growth of the series through the ages was well worth it. The morphing effect was achieved by shooting the talent – Terrance Mullings at 4k with a RED camera and compositing his head onto multiple takes of his body, giving the impression of his seamless passage through Nintendo’s history. Plus permission to use the iconic Zelda music in the TVC was a boon.
